Driving your own sled dog Team

Day 1

The tour will start at 10:00 with a short course, you will be met at our base where the instructor will go through the art of mushing, safety and kit.

You will then be driven to our kennels where you will be given another short briefing on handling, taking care of your huskies dogs, and driving your sled.

Please note: We will only leave when the instructors are happy that everybody is safe and able to take care of their teams, and we have the right to refuse anybody who we deem incompetent. Our main priority is our dogs safety.

When everybody is ready we will travel with the dogs in small groups along the idealic forest tracks to the camp, stopping along the way to take in the beautiful mountain scenery and resting the dogs.

When we arrive at our camp optional Hobbit Hut accommodation and before we make ourselves comfortable, we will need to prepare the dogs, feeding and take care of them first.

Whilst setting up your camp you will be given guidance on how to light a primitive fire lighting demonstration.
