Are you searching for authentic, handcrafted reindeer skin parkas created using traditional methods? My name is Richard, and I’m a professional furrier based in Sweden. With over 30 years of experience, I specialize in reindeer and caribou skin garments. In addition, I work closely with Inuit communities in Sisimiut, Greenland, to help preserve this rare and rapidly disappearing craft.

Why Choose a Handcrafted Reindeer Skin Parka?

Each of my handcrafted reindeer skin parkas is made to order using premium reindeer calf hides. These are ethically sourced from Sámi herders in Jämtland, Sweden. As a result, every garment respects the traditions of the land and culture.

Unlike mass-produced winter coats, my parkas are built for extreme cold. Furthermore, they are tailored specifically for each customer. Whether you’re heading into the Arctic or simply want a one-of-a-kind winter coat, these parkas are designed to last for decades.

One of my reindeer skin parkas was recently featured on the Outdoor Boys YouTube channel. Luke tested it during a rugged winter expedition. As you’ll see in the video, the traditional design performed exceptionally well in harsh conditions.

Parka Options & Pricing

Basic Parka – from 18,500 SEK (Approx. $1,850 USD – Medium size)

• Larger sizes (L–XXL): 20,000 SEK

• Lightweight (around 3 kg)

• Designed for cold winter use

• Deposit: 6,000 SEK required

Detailed Parka – up to 100,000 SEK (Approx. $9,900 USD)

• Features intricate detailing or traditional Inuit inlays

• Deposit: 30% of the total price

Keep in mind: Prices may vary depending on size, since larger parkas require more hides.

How Long Does It Take?

Each parka is custom-made after your order is confirmed. Typically, a basic parka is completed in under one month. However, custom or highly detailed parkas may take longer. I’ll give you a clear timeline when you order, and I’ll keep you informed throughout the process.
