Rehoming
Re – homing
A little information about each dog is included below. We are committed to making sure these dogs end up in the right place for them and we always have a place for them to return to Wild Spirit if the need arises. We can also offer boarding during holiday periods (depending on kennel availability). We have had many dogs successfully adapt to family life and travel to live all over Sweden and other places in Europe. We will ask for an adoption fee for each of these dogs to ensure they are going to responsible homes.
Adults
DUNE
Dune is a 7 year old (Born April 2016) mixed breed dog (Alaskan Husky/Siberian Husky/Greenland Dog). Dune would like to go to an active home but doesn’t feel running in a team is the most fun thing, and she has shown us this very clearly last year. With some time Dune could adapt to living inside and is an incredibly affectionate and sweet girl. She’s playful with people and other dogs and listens really well. She can be a little nervous in new situations but quickly warms up, we feel she would do well in a family as she is very social. She’s well socialized with adults and children and gets on well with all of our dogs here. Dune would make a good skiing and hiking partner but she has to take this at her own speed and be able to stop and take her time. She has a good appetite, holds her weight well and is a medium sized girl of about 22kg. Her mother is still living with us at the age of 13.

Jagger is a 9 year old (Born May 8th 2014) mixed race dog (Alaskan Husky/Siberian Husky/Greenland Dog). Jagger is a dog who never causes any trouble and works well with other dogs. He loves meeting new people and is very affectionate, he has spent time around children and is gentle and would enjoy being part of a family. He has spent time in the house with us and really enjoys it, behaving well. Jagger is a really hardworking dog in harness, but now after a run he feels a little sore and because he is so social and loving while also being good in the house, we feel he would do really well in a retirement home. Jagger listens really well while running loose but knows how to be calm when he needs to be, he would make a good ski or running partner in harness for shorter distances and would enjoy longer walks at a more leisurely pace. Jagger is around 32kg.

BOWIE
Bowie is a 9 year old (Born May 8th 2014) mixed race dog (Alaskan Husky/Siberian Husky/Greenland Dog). Bowie is a confident, loving dog who listens really well. He has also spent time in the house which he really enjoys, he is well behaved and he enjoys following whatever you are up to, if we are working in the workshop for example, he will calmly lay nearby and watch us work. He gets on well with most dogs and is well socialized with adults and children, he is very affectionate with both us and people he is meeting for the first time. Like his brother, Bowie is a really hardworking dog in harness, but now after a run he feels a little sore and because he is so social and loving while also being good in the house, we feel he would do really well in a retirement home. Bowie has done canicross running in front of a person a few years ago and pulls hard and picked up commands very quickly so he would make a good running or skiing partner for shorter distances, or perhaps longer trips at a slower speed just like his brother. Bowie is a tall dog and around 32kg.

KANE
Sweet Kane is a smaller Siberian husky (ingen Stamtavla) of 9 years (Born September 2014) and a lovely, affectionate boy. He is already house trained and used to spending time inside. Kane is hardworking but now the teams move to Alaskan Huskies Kane thinks it goes a little quick so he would like to enjoy life at a slower speed. Kane is good loose and great with all people, including children, and he would do fantastic in a family with kids. Kane wants to be involved in what you are up to and loves joining families around the campfire when we are on tours, he would love to be in an active family who let him join in all the fun. Kane gets on well with all of our dogs and is around 20kg.

Jet is smart and learns things fast, he is also house trained and used to being inside. Jet is affectionate and loves people and gets on well with most dogs. Jet and Kane have spent many years together and would appreciate being able to stay together, but potentially could be retired separately. Jet also weighs around 20kg.

Yearlings
We have some young yearling dogs (8-9 months) looking for working homes. Crumble, Cookie, Cupcake and Hobnob were born to Carbon, one of our main lead dogs and fathered by Titan, one of our core team dogs and a very hard driving dog last December. We feel some of these girls would benefit from being in a quieter environment with smaller teams. We expect them to make hard driving, social and intelligent working dogs like both their parents. Both parents have a good work ethic, gait, attitudes and appitites. All 4 have been well socialized with the rest of our dogs and do well in the pack. Alternatively a very outdoor focused and active family home could be considered. Please contact us for more information about these girls. We may have a yearling male available on request.
